What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

As a Data Science Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our commercial analytics efforts, turning data into actionable intelligence. You will:

Build Innovative Data Products: Design and create powerful data products from scratch, such as product propensity models, lead quality indexes (LQI), and other tools that guide our marketing and sales campaigns.
Master Big Data: Work with massive, unstructured datasets using Big Data tools and platforms like Hadoop and Hive to extract valuable insights.
Apply Advanced Machine Learning: Implement a wide range of data mining and ML techniques, including regression, clustering, decision trees, and recommendation systems (collaborative filtering, k-NN, SVD).
Drive Business Strategy: Analyze data, synthesize your findings, and present your conclusions to senior leaders to influence and drive profitable business outcomes.
Collaborate with Global Teams: Work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with Decision Science, Capabilities, and other teams across the globe.
Evaluate External Data: Assess external data vendors and new data sources to enrich our commercial targeting capabilities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed (Skills & Qualifications)

We are looking for a highly analytical individual with a strong academic background and technical expertise.

✅ Education: You must have a Master’s Degree or an MBA in a quantitative field like Finance, Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Economics.
✅ Technical Skills: You need to have:
- Excellent proficiency in SAS/SQL and experience working with large datasets. (Python experience is highly valued).
- Strong working knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Pig).
- Deep understanding of data mining and machine learning techniques (regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, SVM).
- Familiarity with recommendation system methodologies.
✅ Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate and influence partners effectively.
