Kimberly-Clark Associate Trainee Hiring 2025 | Diploma Fresher – Mechanical & Electrical | Sricity Mill

About Kimberly-Clark & this role

Kimberly-Clark is the company behind global personal care brands like Huggies, Kleenex, Kotex, Scott, Cottonelle and more, serving consumers in over 175 countries. The company is hiringΒ Associate TraineesΒ for itsΒ Sricity MillΒ (Andhra Pradesh) on aΒ full-time, regular, #LI‑HybridΒ basis, with job requisition IDΒ 882169, ideal for diploma freshers in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

Role overview – Associate Trainee at Sricity Mill

The Associate Trainee position is an entry-level manufacturing/operations role where you work on shop-floor activities, machine operation support, quality checks, maintenance support and continuous improvement in a high-volume consumer products plant. As a trainee, you are guided to develop into a well-rounded production or engineering associate who supports safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing of Kimberly-Clark products.

Eligibility – who can apply

Kimberly-Clark clearly targetsΒ fresh diploma holdersΒ in core engineering branches for this role.

  • Education:Β Diploma fresher inΒ MechanicalΒ orΒ ElectricalΒ engineering (no prior experience required; typically 0–1 years career level).

  • Location:Β Primary work location isΒ Sricity MillΒ (Andhra Pradesh), full-time regular employee status.

  • Batch:Β LinkedIn and referral posts explicitly call out this as a big opportunity forΒ 2024 and 2025 graduatesΒ in Mechanical and Electrical engineering.

Candidates must also be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, quality and shift-based operations as needed.

Safety responsibilities & expectations

Safety is a major focus in this role. As an Associate Trainee, you are expected to:

  • Follow allΒ KC Safety rules and guidelines, taking care of your own safety and that of your colleagues on the shop floor.

  • PerformΒ periodic safety observationsΒ to identify hazards, report near misses, abnormal conditions and unsafe acts on time and support closure of those issues.

  • Adhere to risk assessments, SOPs,Β LOTOΒ (Lockout–Tagout) procedures, work permits, emergency response plans, safety targets and other safety compliance programs implemented at the mill.

This safety culture ensures a secure working environment and reduces risk while operating heavy machinery and utilities.

Quality & production-related responsibilities

On the production side, Associate Trainees support machine crews and quality teams in several activities:

  • Material handling & machine support:

    • Preparation, loading, splicing and unloading of raw materials and packing materials at the shift level.

    • Material threading and routing using defined paths, then rechecking product after splicing to avoid defects.

  • Machine operation & troubleshooting:

    • Supporting machine troubleshooting for breakdowns, quality defects and short stops, andε‚δΈŽ in root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.

    • Maintaining machine and work area cleanliness and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards on the shop floor.

  • Quality checks & documentation:

    • Performing real-time variable and attribute checks for product and packaging parameters and recording results in quality systems/software and other documents.

    • Following β€œnon-conforming product” handling procedures, segregating and rechecking held product to ensure only good products are shipped to customers.

  • Performance & machine settings:

    • Running machines on centreline and β€œgood run settings” (GRS), maintaining critical settings/equipment to deliver safe, consistent products.

    • Working towards volume, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), waste and other performance, quality and safety KPIs.

This combination of tasks helps trainees understand end-to-end production, from material handling to final product quality.

Maintenance & engineering exposure

Associate Trainees also get basic exposure to maintenance and engineering aspects:

  • Carry outΒ Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection and Tightening (CLIT)Β routines to maintain machine condition.

  • Perform visual health checks on machinesβ€”temperature, vibration, greasing and oiling checks, and identify abnormal behaviours to plan corrective actions.

  • SupportΒ preventive and predictive maintenanceΒ to keep machines in good condition, reduce breakdowns and extend part life (including hot-melt application cleaning and systematic replacement of spare parts based on life/condition).

  • Assist with pack count changes, product size changes and tier changes usingΒ Quick Changeover (QCO)Β lean principles to reduce downtime.

  • Enter data in software/MIS systems for downtime, stops, waste, production and machine performance tracking.

Mechanical and Utility-focused tasks (for some streams) can include spare management, overhauling modules, hotmelt part refurbishment, inkjet coding machine maintenance, and support in utility operations such as transformers, DG sets, compressors, chillers, WTP, STP, BMS/EMS and fire-fighting systems.

Lean manufacturing & continuous improvement

Kimberly-Clark expects trainees to actively contribute to continuous improvement, not just follow instructions:

  • Focus onΒ Lean ManufacturingΒ to reduce material/product waste and improve product quality.

  • ApplyΒ Kaizen principlesΒ and continuous improvement thinking to help deliver benchmark performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Compliance KPIs.

  • Participate in quality audits, 5S audits and improvement actions, supporting a culture of disciplined operations and clean, efficient workplaces.

This mindset helps trainees grow into proactive operators or technicians who can identify and fix issues instead of just executing routines.

Culture, inclusion & fine print

Kimberly-Clark emphasises that it is led by purpose and driven by people, with a strong commitment to sustainability, inclusion, wellbeing and career development for its employees. The company actively seeks to build a workforce that reflects its consumers and states that all qualified applicants will receive equal consideration regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, pregnancy, citizenship or other protected characteristics.

Employment is subject to pre-screening checks such as background verification, drug screening and, where applicable, driving record checks.
