TCS B.Sc Ignite & Smart Hiring is an exclusive national hiring initiative for BCA, B.Sc and B.Voc (CS/IT) students from the 2025 and 2026 batches who want to build IT careers without a traditional engineering degree. The program identifies science graduates with strong aptitude and passion for technology and provides them with structured training, projects and growth opportunities comparable to engineering graduates.

Eligible courses & batches

3‑year full‑time degrees from the Batch of 2025 & 2026 in:
- BCA
- B.Sc – IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Cyber Security, Biochemistry
- B.Voc – Computer Science / Information Technology
Students from these streams will take a single integrated test, after which they may be shortlisted for either Ignite or Smart hiring based on performance.

Application process (NextStep portal)

Follow these steps on the TCS NextStep portal for B.Sc Ignite & Smart Hiring 2025–26:

Sign up / Login
- Visit the TCS NextStep portal and sign up (new users) or log in (existing users).
Aadhaar‑based verification
- Update and verify personal details as per Aadhaar accurately.
- Incorrect or mismatched details can lead to disqualification.
Register & apply for drive (Batch 2025 & 2026)
- Scenario A – Registered user: Complete the application form and then click on “Apply for Drive”.
- Scenario B – New user: Click “Register Now”, choose category “IT”, fill all details, submit the form and then click “Apply for Drive”.
- Ensure academic details, internships and work experience (if any) are complete and accurate.
Select test mode & centre
- Choose Test Mode: In‑Centre.
- Select your preferred test centre city and then click Apply.
- Note: Once selected, the test centre cannot be changed, and seats are allotted strictly on a First‑Come‑First‑Serve basis.
Confirm status
- Go to “Track Your Application”; the status should show “Applied for Drive” to confirm successful registration.

Important instructions & notes

The assessment is In‑Centre only; no remote mode is available.
Preferred city selection will be locked once seats are full for that centre; apply early to secure your city.
All test‑related communication will be sent via TCS iON, the official test provider.
