About the India Power+ Graduate Rotational Program

Hitachi Energy’s India Power+ Graduate Rotational Program is an 18‑month, full‑time development program for recent graduates who want to start a global career in the energy and power sector. As a Power+ Graduate, you will choose your own rotations in an “explorer” model across major business units and functions, building a broad understanding of the company’s products, solutions and operations.

Program structure & responsibilities

18‑month rotational journey with 3 rotations of 6 months each, across different business units/functions in India.
Full‑time, paid, permanent position from Day 1, with the program serving as a strategic talent pipeline into the organization.
Must be mobile and willing to travel/relocate for each of the 3 rotations across locations in India, with potential exposure to international teams and practices.
Work on impactful, meaningful business and technical challenges during each assignment, contributing to ongoing projects and initiatives.
Build a diverse internal network and collaborate with cross‑functional teams while living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity—taking responsibility for your own actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Learning & development

Structured leadership and mentoring programs with senior leaders and experienced managers.
Technical and product training, including exposure to leading‑edge technologies in power systems, grids, automation and digital solutions.
Industry site experience through visits and on‑the‑ground exposure to projects, operations and customer sites.
Strong emphasis on personal leadership, teamwork, collaboration, initiative, self‑confidence and curiosity to learn.

Your background & eligibility

Recent university graduate (within the past 2 years at the time of joining in August 2026).
STEM background (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) preferred but not mandatory; graduates from other relevant disciplines with strong interest in the energy sector are welcome.
Willingness and ability to relocate for 3 rotations across India as per program needs.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ambitious, curious, wide range of interests, and a strong team player who is flexible and open to new ideas.
