Role overview – Apprentice Proctor Agent

As an Apprentice Proctor Agent, you monitor and proctor live online examinations for test takers from various schools, educational organizations and clients worldwide. You ensure exam integrity, verify identities, check for irregularities and maintain the highest standards of meticulousness and attention to detail while supporting ETS’s global examination platform.

Key responsibilities

This apprenticeship combines monitoring, compliance and customer service in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

  • Monitor and proctor live examinations from exam takers representing different schools, clients and organizations

  • Check for irregularities, suspicious behavior or potential cheating during examination

  • Flag and document violations with accurate time stamps for escalation

  • Correct, edit and add violation records as necessary

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any stream (BE/BTech, BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA, etc.) OR ITI Diploma or IHM Certificate

  • NATS registration: Must be enrolled under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS); applicants should register on the NATS portal (https://www.mhrdnats.gov.in/) and provide the unique registration number.

  • Experience level: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; no prior similar apprenticeship training required.

  • Age & eligibility: Typically 16–25 years or as per Apprenticeship Act exceptions; must meet Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) verification requirements.
