Role Overview – BizOps Engineer I
The BizOps Engineer I role combines DevOps, SRE, and Business Operations responsibilities. You will act as a production readiness steward, ensuring platforms meet operational standards such as reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
This role focuses on automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident response, and close collaboration with development and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage across the full service lifecycle from design to production support
• Support CI/CD pipelines and promote DevOps automation best practices
• Ensure production readiness, including monitoring, capacity, and resiliency
• Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback to development teams
• Perform system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews
• Monitor system availability, latency, and overall health
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency
• Participate in incident response and blameless postmortems
• Perform root cause analysis and reduce mean time to recovery
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge
• Align product priorities with operational requirements
Technical Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design
• Experience or exposure to scripting and automation
• Programming knowledge in one or more of: Java, Python, C++, Go, Ruby, Perl
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven
• Understanding of build and artifact tools like Artifactory
• Interest in large-scale distributed systems
• Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate workflows
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
