Role Overview – SDET I

As an SDET I, you will be responsible for test design, automation, and quality ownership across APIs, services, and UI. You will work closely with developers to enable shift-left testing, improve release quality, and accelerate delivery pipelines.

This role strongly emphasizes automation-first testing and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for API, UI, and integration testing
• Write stable, reusable, and data-driven automated test scripts
• Perform REST and gRPC service testing along with UI automation
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Manage flaky tests and ensure clear quality gates
• Create test plans, test data, and test environments
• Use mocks and stubs where applicable
• Drive defect triage and root-cause analysis
• Track and improve quality metrics such as coverage and defect leakage
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Release teams

Must-Have Skills

• 0–2 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python
• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright
• Experience in REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or pytest-requests
• Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, or PyTest
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Good understanding of testing levels and test design techniques
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset

• Docker and basic Kubernetes knowledge
• AWS basics (S3, EC2, CloudWatch)
