We are currently looking for talent to join our Intersight development team as part of Cisco’s Data Center Compute portfolio.

Cisco Intersight is a cloud and on-premise based system management platform for Cisco UCS and other Data Center products. It provides actionable intelligent level of management that enables IT organizations to analyze, simplify and automate their environments. It is driven by analytics and machine learning to provide actionable intelligence for IT operations management.

As part of Intersight Virtual Appliance team, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic core team and help shape the future of Data Center Infrastructure management technology, product direction and eventually the business in Data Center.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As an engineer, contribute to backend development activities of Intersight (SaaS and On-premise Appliance-based) Management Software, including scoping, planning, designing, implementation, testing and coordinating with other teams.
• Influence the feature development and improving product quality and customer experience.
• Maintain active understanding of industry practices for platform scaling and new technology.
• Worked on Agile Teams using continuous development and deployment process.

Requirements / Skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 0-2 years of experience.
• Good programming skills in languages such as Go, C++, Java, Python with strong design skills in object-oriented methodologies.
• Strengths in Distributed Computing, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Software and product development experience, preferably in cloud computing and distributed systems on Linux and VM environments.
• Experience with virtualization environments such as vSphere, HyperV, KVM.
• Understanding of Microservice architecture using Containers and Orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Good team player with strong work ethic.
