About the Role
As a Technical Executive – Cocoa, you will support cocoa cultivation, farmer development, nursery operations and cocoa procurement activities. The position involves working directly with farmers, agricultural institutions, government departments and third-party procurement partners to promote sustainable cocoa farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify farmers and new areas for cocoa cultivation and development.
- Manage cocoa nurseries, crop science activities, agronomy and pest and disease management.
- Train farmers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), post-harvest practices and cocoa quality management.
- Coordinate cocoa procurement, quality checks, documentation and bean dispatch to factories.
- Support Cocoa Life sustainability, community development and agroforestry initiatives.
- Coordinate with government agriculture and horticulture departments and research institutions.
- Manage nursery and procurement staff and support worker education.
- Implement digital farmer onboarding, farm polygon mapping and digital procurement tools.
Eligibility and Required Skills
- Education: BSc Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry or MSc Botany.
- Exceptional candidates with a Diploma in Agriculture may also be considered.
- Experience: Freshers are welcome; 0–4 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of agriculture, agronomy and horticulture.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
