Job Overview: IT Cyber Defense Analyst – Intern

📍 Location: Remote (India – Pune / Baroda)
🕒 Type: Internship (Contractor role)
👥 Department: Security Operations Center (SOC)
🧭 Reports To: SOC Manager

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to security events using SIEM, EDR, and SOAR tools
Assist in incident triage, escalation, and documentation
Support threat intelligence and participate in daily security briefings
Help with log analysis and identifying threats such as phishing, malware, and intrusion attempts
Contribute to the development of SOC playbooks and response procedures
Gain hands-on experience working with enterprise-level cybersecurity tools

Skills and Requirements

✅ Completed or pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or IT
✅ Basic knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals
✅ Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, SOAR, or firewalls (plus point)
✅ Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
