We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer who is passionate about testing cloud solutions and ensuring product quality.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work on multiple releases of NetBackup and its features like cyber resiliency.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues to resolution using defect tracking tools.
- Automate and provide innovative ideas to improve the product.
- Collaborate with testing members, developers, technical writers, and customer solutions engineers to ensure high-quality products.
- Implement multiple iterations of the test plan by running manual and automated test cases.
- Craft test approaches and build test plans for end-to-end feature testing.
- Analyze failures and root cause issues, file defects, and follow up with teams on resolution.
- Automate test cases and supervise testing activities.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps to understand infrastructure and deployment models.
Requirements / Skills
- BE/B.Tech/MTech.
- Good understanding of QA methodologies and processes.
- Good knowledge of Linux and should become comfortable with Shell.
- Prior experience in programming, preferably in Go or Python.
- Validated experience in Data Protection, OS, Filesystem, Cloud, SaaS, and Platform.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities across software and hardware components.
- Understanding of cyber threats such as ransomware, malware, insider attacks, and data breaches.
- Ability to test backup integrity, restore workflows, disaster recovery scenarios, air-gapped/immutable backups, and recovery time.
- Experience in simulating failures like service crashes, network outages, corrupted data, or security incidents.
