Job Details:

• Title: Tech Trainee – DevOps (On-Premises Infrastructure)

Role Overview:

Join our dedicated DevOps team and gain valuable experience in automation, deployment, and infrastructure management. Collaborate with skilled system administrators and software developers, build industry-grade pipelines, and optimize enterprise systems in real data center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain servers, storage, and networks for on-premises environments

• Support and automate build and release processes (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, etc.)

• Monitor, manage, and tune Linux & Windows servers for high performance

• Manage version control systems (Git) with branching, merging, and release cycles

• Write and implement infrastructure automation scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible)

• Collaborate on app deployments in test, staging, and production environments

• Use tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or ELK for monitoring and log management

• Participate in backup, recovery, and security best practices

Eligibility & Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• Strong Linux/Unix administration, plus Windows server basics

• Familiar with network fundamentals: IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and scripting (Shell/Bash/Python)

• Analytical and troubleshooting capability, with a passion for documentation and process improvement

Bonus Skills (Good to Have):

• Exposure to virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)

• Experience/knowledge of infrastructure provisioning and configuration management

• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Security hardening and patch management awareness

• Internships or projects in system administration or DevOps
