Role Overview – Domain Trainee (Underwriting Support)

As a Domain Trainee – Underwriting Support Delegated Authority, you will support underwriting teams by managing delegated authority processes, bordereaux data, and quality checks. Additionally, you will work closely with onshore teams, underwriters, and key stakeholders.

Over time, this role helps you strengthen your understanding of insurance operations, underwriting lifecycle, and client service standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up Binding Authority contracts with rules and aggregate limits using DUA tools

  • Complete Bordereau Questionnaires by mapping data to reporting standards

  • Review errors or breaches and perform data enrichment within the DUA system

  • Reconcile premium and claim amounts with syndicate and commercial systems

  • Log data quality issues and support resolution through query logs

  • Work with onshore teams for quality control reviews and escalations

  • Perform bordereaux standardization and financial reconciliation for monthly BDX files

  • Monitor monthly bordereaux submissions and follow up on delays

  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational discussions

  • Ensure work is completed within agreed TAT and SLA

  • Maintain customer service and quality standards at all times
