Job Purpose

As a Quality Analyst (SDET), you will focus on automation and manual testing to ensure the quality and performance of software products across web, mobile, and API platforms. You will design, implement, and execute test strategies to maintain the reliability of systems and ensure smooth business operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Test Planning and Design

• Develop comprehensive test plans from project specifications.

• Document test cases for web, mobile, API, and database testing.

• Collaborate with developers to understand system requirements.

2. Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.

• Execute automated test suites and analyze results.

• Identify new opportunities for test automation to enhance efficiency.

3. Manual Testing

• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing manually.

• Document and report bugs with precise details.

• Conduct exploratory testing to catch hidden defects.

4. Web, Mobile, and API Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications.

• Validate API integrations and functionality.

• Ensure browser and device compatibility across multiple environments.

5. Continuous Integration

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.

• Integrate test cases into workflows for early bug detection.

• Optimize CI processes for speed and efficiency.

6. Database Testing

• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity.

• Test data migrations and transformations.

• Troubleshoot database performance issues related to testing.

7. Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

8. Documentation

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of test cases, results, and known issues.

• Update test artifacts as applications evolve.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech, BCA, or MCA.

• Strong understanding of automation tools (Selenium, Appium) and manual testing concepts.
