🔹 Role Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps role at Media.net is designed for engineers who love solving complex systems challenges, improving reliability, and automating processes. You’ll get hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and monitoring frameworks.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and reliability of large-scale distributed systems.

• Manage Unix/Linux-based infrastructure, system calls, and filesystems.

• Work on container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.

• Build automation tools and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, and Git.

• Optimize performance with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Develop infrastructure as code solutions for scalable environments.

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve system bottlenecks.

• Debug and troubleshoot complex system and network issues.

🔹 Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix internals and system administration.

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, SDN, and networking fundamentals.

• Programming skills in Python, Go, Ruby, or scripting languages.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices.

• Hands-on experience with OpenStack, AWS, or cloud virtualization platforms.

• Exposure to NoSQL databases like Redis, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Knowledge of web/application servers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat).

• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
