Role overview – Intern (Product Support Engineer)

As an Intern in the Product Support Engineering team, you play a key technical role in the Global Support group, working on customer issues across Meltwater’s applications. You will manage a pipeline of support tickets, troubleshoot application and platform problems, and contribute to high customer satisfaction, strong SLAs, and reduced client churn.

Key responsibilities

Manage, prioritize and troubleshoot a queue of tickets and application requests from global customers.
Administer technical tasks and projects related to maintenance and stability of Meltwater’s SaaS applications.
Respond to system-generated alerts and escalations about failures on the service platform.
Investigate issues end-to-end, perform diagnostics and send timely, accurate responses to clients and internal teams.
Create and configure Newsfeeds and Newsletters for customers as part of product setup and optimization.
Follow support case management practices, meet SLAs and keep cases updated in the Support System of Record (e.g., JSM).
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders, especially during high-pressure escalations.

Eligibility & qualifications

Education: MSc or MCA graduates (freshers / early career).
Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, investigation and diagnostic skills.
Good understanding of at least one scripting or programming language and basic Unix/Linux and database concepts.

Technical skills

SQL and database experience (MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB or other NoSQL).
Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Regular Expressions, Node.js etc.
Experience with MongoDB/NoSQL or MySQL/MSSQL, and exposure to web development.
AWS or other cloud knowledge is a plus, as well as experience working with or troubleshooting social media platforms.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
