Role overview

As a Software Engineer (University Grad) at Meta Bangalore, you will work on complex technical problems, build new features and improve existing products across mobile and web platforms. The role involves writing high‑quality, testable code, collaborating with world‑class engineers and contributing to products that impact users globally.​

Key responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the relevant product area, codebase and core systems.​

• Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming and software engineering best practices.​

• Produce high‑quality, maintainable code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.​

• Work independently, use available resources to unblock yourself and complete tasks on schedule using strong judgment and problem‑solving skills.​

• Learn and follow Meta’s development standards from coding to release, taking on tasks and projects of increasing complexity over time.​

• Actively seek and give feedback in line with Meta’s Performance Philosophy and team culture.​

Minimum qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Computer Science

  • Computer Engineering

  • A related technical field

  • Or equivalent practical experience
    The degree must be completed before joining Meta.​

• Experience coding in at least one industry‑standard language such as Java, Python, C++ or JavaScript.​

• Must have valid work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain it during employment.​

Preferred qualifications

• Demonstrated software engineering experience via internships, prior work, coding competitions, open‑source contributions or publications.​

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.​

• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and modern development tools or frameworks is an added advantage.​​
