As part of Nokia’s Optical Networks Division, you’ll be working in an innovative team that’s driving the future of AI-driven data centers and high-capacity optical networks. You’ll validate, test, and ensure the quality of DWDM, ROADM, OTN, and GMPLS planning tools in real-world scenarios.
💼 Job Responsibilities

Test and validate optical network planning tools for performance, reliability, and accuracy.

Develop and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and automation scripts.

Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing of telecom modules.

Simulate network behaviour to validate software planning logic.

Identify and report bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.

Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product managers for troubleshooting.

Suggest improvements for user interface, tool usability, and software reliability.

Maintain QA documentation and contribute to agile DevOps practices.

🧠 Required Skills

Solid knowledge of optical networking concepts – DWDM, ROADM, SDH/SONET, OTN, Ethernet, and fiber topologies.

Hands-on experience with optical network design/planning tools.

Understanding of Layer 0/1/2 topologies and traffic engineering.

Familiarity with tools like TestRail, JIRA, or Bugzilla.

Scripting experience using Python, Selenium, or REST APIs is a plus.

Knowledge of network performance metrics, KPIs, and telecom standards (ITU-T, IEEE, MEF).

Exposure to DevOps and Agile development practices.
