SITA India is on the lookout for recent graduates to join our SkyStar Program within the Procurement function, initially for a 12-month period, with the potential for a permanent role.
Your main tasks will involve supporting the manufacturing procurement and the sourcing specialists and provide supporting data and MI to create more informed procurements as well as play a hands-on role in direct sourcing activity, obtaining quotes, supporting RFx`s and E Sourcing initiatives, providing assistance under supervision of the Manufacturing Procurement lead, and ensuring the smooth operation of procurement.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support Operative Project Procurement by assisting in day-to-day purchasing activities for ongoing projects, including data preparation, order follow-up, supplier coordination, and documentation management
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure materials and services are procured in line with project timelines, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers on project-critical deliveries, order confirmations, documentation requests, and issue resolution to support smooth project execution.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, contributing to process improvements, digital tools adoption, standardization, and increased operational efficiency within the Procurement team.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, documentation standards, and approval workflows while maintaining accurate records.
