Role details

Positions:

• Associate Data Engineer

• Associate Data Scientist​

CTC:

• 5.2 LPA for freshers in these roles.​

Location:

• Primary training/work location: Pune office for the first 3–6 months of training (as per current hiring post).​

Key responsibilities

As an Associate (Data Engineer / Data Scientist), you will first go through a structured training phase and then move into project work.​

During training and early project work, you will:

• Attend structured training on modern data engineering / data science tools, cloud platforms, and best practices used in production environments.​

• Work with senior engineers and data scientists to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and processing workflows.​

• Handle real‑world datasets on cloud platforms, gaining hands‑on experience with data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.​

• Use Python and SQL (or similar languages) to write clean, efficient code for data operations and analytics tasks.​

• Support data preparation, cleaning, and validation steps required for analytics dashboards or ML models.​

• Contribute to building or maintaining data‑driven solutions such as reports, dashboards, or predictive models that deliver business insights.​

Eligibility & candidate profile

Degrees & branches:

• BE / B.Tech in:

  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

  • Electronics & Communication

  • Data Science / AI / ML or closely related specializations​

Eligible batches:

• 2024, 2025, and 2026 pass‑outs who meet academic and joining requirements.​

Academics:

• Minimum CGPA of 7.0 or above in BE/B.Tech, as mentioned in the fresher application / questionnaire.​

Skills & attributes:

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a genuine interest in data‑driven work.​

• Basic coding knowledge in Python and SQL (or a similar tech stack), gained through coursework, projects, or self‑learning.​

• Good understanding of core CS fundamentals and eagerness to learn data engineering / data science concepts.​

• Ability to work from the Pune office during the initial 3–6 month training period.​

• Availability to join immediately or as per company timelines for the selected batch.​​

Interview process

V4C.ai is following a multi‑stage selection process to evaluate both fundamentals and applied skills for freshers. The shared flow is:​

1. Online Assessment (Virtual)

   • Objective/technical test to assess aptitude, programming basics, and data understanding.

2. L1 Technical Round

   • Questions on programming (Python/SQL basics), problem‑solving, and core CS/data concepts.

3. L2 Technical Round

   • Deeper technical discussion around data pipelines, ETL, data models or ML basics, plus project‑based questions.

4. L3 Technical + Managerial Round

   • Combination of scenario‑based technical questions and evaluation of communication, ownership, and team fit.

5. Short Technical Discussion (~10 minutes)

   • Final quick validation of core skills or specific technical gaps, if required.

6. HR Process

   • Discussion of offer, CTC (5.2 LPA), role expectations, location, and joining schedule.​
