Software Engineer provides technical expertise to the sales team by conducting product demonstrations, analyzing customer needs, and proposing tailored solutions to potential clients.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with sales representatives to qualify leads, creating technical proposals, answering complex technical questions, and ensuring customer needs are met through the effective communication of product benefits. A strong blend of engineering and interpersonal skills, including problem-solving and communication, is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support:

  • Serve as a technical resource for the sales team by explaining product capabilities and use cases to potential customers.

Solution Design:

  • Understand customer requirements and design customized solutions that address their unique technical and business needs.

Product Demonstrations:

  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.

Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand pain points and build strong relationships with clients’ technical and business executives.

Proposal Development:

  • Create detailed technical proposals, scoping documents, and proof-of-concept projects for clients.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales representatives, marketing, and engineering teams to identify opportunities and close deals.

Technical Knowledge;

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products, services, and relevant industry technologies.

Problem Solving:

  • Address technical questions and objections during the sales process, offering detailed explanations and solutions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Technical Aptitude:

  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to understand and explain complex technical information.
  • Proficiency in Python/Javascript/Json/React/C#/SQL/NoSQL etc.
  • AI/ML skills and related tools including RAG, Finetuning, Langgraph and Langchain, Hugging face etc.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Presentation Skills:

  • Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations.

Analytical Thinking:

  • The ability to analyze customer requirements, identify needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills to overcome technical challenges during the sales cycle.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.

Organizational Skills:

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field is often required.
