Role overview – Azure/AWS DevOps Engineer (Analyst)

As a fresher in this role, you will support Deloitte’s cloud and DevOps teams in their daily operational activities. The focus is on building strong fundamentals in Azure and AWS, understanding how production environments run, and gradually taking ownership of basic configuration and support tasks under guidance.​

Key things you’ll be involved in:

• Assisting in the setup, configuration, and routine monitoring of Azure and AWS resources following instructions from senior team members.​

• Handling simple access‑related activities such as adding, modifying, or removing user access in cloud portals.​

• Shadowing troubleshooting sessions for basic issues like VM failures, quota limitations, or connectivity glitches, and documenting the steps followed.​

• Sitting in on deployment activities to understand CI/CD flows, release processes, and environment preparation for various projects.​

• Helping maintain and update runbooks, installation manuals, FAQs, and other documentation used by the cloud operations team.​

• Executing daily health checks on core cloud services using dashboards, alerts, and simple diagnostic scripts as per predefined checklists.​

• Practicing DevOps basics, including running sample CI/CD pipelines, learning version control workflows, and observing automation jobs.​

• Attending internal trainings, asking questions, and actively seeking mentorship to grow your skills and confidence.​

Required skills and profile

Deloitte is looking for enthusiastic freshers who want to grow in cloud engineering and DevOps. You don’t need deep experience, but a solid base and the right mindset are essential.​

Technical and professional traits:

• Basic understanding of what cloud computing is: servers, storage, networking, and how they come together in public cloud platforms.​

• Strong interest in learning Azure or AWS and curiosity to explore cloud consoles and services hands‑on.​

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, detailed instructions, and process checklists accurately.​

• Good written and spoken English for collaboration, documentation, and communication with team members.​

• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to handle multiple small tasks in parallel.​

• Organized working style: you ask for clarity when needed, keep notes, and track your activities properly.​

• Any exposure to security concepts, auditing, or scripting through projects, labs, or certifications is a plus but not mandatory.​

Eligibility and experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.​

• Experience: 0–1 year of professional experience; internships, academic projects, certifications, and personal cloud projects are welcome but not a strict requirement.​

• Fresh graduates who are genuinely interested in cloud/DevOps are strongly encouraged to apply.​

• Location: Hyderabad, with shift timings in a 24/7 environment, so flexibility for night and rotational shifts is required.​
