IBM Associate System Engineer – Off Campus 2025 | PAN India

IBM is hiring for the role of Associate System Engineer (entry-level Software Developer) across multiple locations and states in India as part of IBM Consulting’s Client Innovation Centers. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and supporting software that powers clients’ hybrid cloud and AI journeys, using modern technologies and following full software development lifecycle practices.​

Role overview

As an Associate System Engineer, you work in IBM Consulting’s Client Innovation Centers, partnering with public and private sector clients to implement solutions on IBM’s technology stack and strategic partner platforms like Red Hat. The position is off‑campus, full‑time, for 2025 pass-outs only, and is open PAN India, with flexibility to work from various cities and states mentioned in the description.​

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC: requirements understanding, design, coding, testing, release, and support of applications.​

• Analyze and validate failures or issues in existing systems, then propose improvements with guidance from architects and technical leads.​

• Drive discussions with stakeholders, understand the current technical landscape, and identify opportunities to design and code creative solutions that are high-performing, highly available, and maintainable.​

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in Computer Science or Information Technology–related branches from the 2025 batch, with a minimum 6 CGPA / 60% and no active backlogs.​

• Programming experience in at least one of Java, C++, Python, or Node.js, plus understanding of Software Development Life Cycle concepts.​

• Strong written and spoken communication, problem‑solving ability, and willingness to work from anywhere in India as required by IBM Consulting projects.​

Preferred profile

• Engineering background with demonstrated problem‑solving skills and good interpersonal abilities.​

• Comfort working in collaborative, agile teams, engaging with global stakeholders, and continuously learning in areas like cloud, AI, and enterprise software delivery
