Role overview – Trainee DevOps Engineer
This is an entry‑level DevOps position designed for freshers who want to learn and work on AWS / cloud, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring. You will work closely with development and QA teams while gradually taking responsibility for builds, deployments, and environment stability.
Key responsibilities:

Help design, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines for application builds and deployments.

Automate repetitive tasks using scripts and configuration management / DevOps tools.

Coordinate with developers and QA engineers to ensure smooth integration and release cycles.

Monitor system health and uptime using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability platforms.

Support provisioning and managing infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Maintain documentation for processes, runbooks, and best practices used by the DevOps team.

Troubleshoot basic environment issues in staging and production under guidance.

Keep up with the latest DevOps tooling and practices to contribute to continuous improvements.
Required skills & qualifications
Technical skills:

Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like AWS DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.

Familiarity with at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS (GCP exposure is also valued).

Understanding of both Linux and Windows operating environments.

Knowledge of Git for version control and basic scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python is an added advantage.

Strong problem‑solving ability and genuine interest in DevOps, cloud, and automation.
Soft skills:

Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies and adapt quickly.

Attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting.

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Education:

B.Tech, BCA, M.Tech, or MCA from a recognized institution.

Freshers with 0 years of experience are eligible; internships or DevOps certifications will be considered a plus.
