This purpose of this Associate Software Engineer is:

The Associate Software Engineer develops high-quality software solutions under guidance from senior engineers. This entry-level position focuses on writing clean, maintainable code, learning established development practices, and contributing to team projects while building foundational technical skills in software development.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code for assigned features following team coding standards.
• Implement bug fixes and small to medium-sized features under supervision.
• Write unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to enhance coding productivity and learning.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on technical design and implementation approaches.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Seek feedback and mentorship to accelerate technical growth.
• Document code and contribute to technical documentation.
• Follow established development processes and version control practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and test environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong academic background or relevant internship experience in software development.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and software development fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems.
• Basic knowledge of database technologies and web technologies.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Effective communication skills for technical and team collaboration.
