Role overview

The Trainee Tier I – IT Engineer role is an entry‑level position where you contribute to analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of software applications used across Cencora. You will work closely with senior engineers, support users, participate in system upgrades and develop strong fundamentals in enterprise IT and software engineering.

Key responsibilities

Assist in analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of software applications and solutions.
Collaborate with senior team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
Help troubleshoot software issues, investigate root causes and support the resolution of user problems.
Participate in system upgrades, installations, configurations and migrations as part of IT projects.
Contribute to documentation of technical processes, procedures and best practices.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends and modern software development practices.

Requirements & skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; final‑year students may also be considered.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java/C++, HTML/CSS or scripting languages like Python is preferred.
Familiarity with database management systems (SQL/MySQL) is an advantage.
Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users.
Proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and tools, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux will be beneficial.
