Role overview – What you’ll do

As a fresher DevOps Engineer – Analyst, you will support Deloitte’s cloud and infrastructure teams in day‑to‑day tasks while learning best practices for Azure and AWS operations. Your focus initially is on foundational cloud skills, basic configuration, monitoring, and observing how enterprise IT environments are run and automated.​

Key responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers with routine setup, configuration, and monitoring of Azure and AWS resources following detailed runbooks and instructions.​

• Handle simple user access requests in cloud portals such as creating, updating, or revoking user access under supervision.​

• Shadow troubleshooting for common cloud issues like VM startup failures, quota limitations, or basic connectivity problems, and document steps followed.​

• Observe and participate in cloud‑based deployments, attending team meetings to understand project goals, architecture, and release processes.​

• Help maintain and update installation guides, FAQs, and runbooks used for cloud operations.​

• Execute daily health checks for core cloud services using monitoring dashboards, alerts, and simple diagnostic scripts.​

• Learn and practice DevOps fundamentals—running sample CI/CD pipelines, understanding version control basics, and monitoring automation jobs.​

• Attend internal trainings regularly, proactively seek mentorship, and promptly escalate any issues or unusual observations to responsible team members.​

Skills & eligibility

Required technical/behavioral skills:

• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts – servers, storage, networking, and how they map to public cloud.​

• Strong interest in learning Azure and/or AWS and exploring cloud consoles hands‑on.​

• Willingness to follow standard operating procedures, checklists, and step‑by‑step instructions carefully.​

• Clear written and spoken English for collaboration and documentation.​

• Proactive approach to training and self‑learning; organized, curious, and willing to ask questions.​

• Analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to handle multiple small tasks in parallel while meeting timelines.​

Education & experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.​
