Job Description
The Associate System Engineer will support the operations and administration of the IT infrastructure monitoring platform LogicMonitor. The role involves monitoring system health, handling alerts, assisting with audits and reporting activities, and ensuring the performance of monitoring systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor infrastructure health and alerts using LogicMonitor.
- Investigate alerts and perform initial troubleshooting for infrastructure issues.
- Perform operational tasks such as alert tuning, device onboarding, and datasource validation.
- Support infrastructure teams in ensuring system monitoring coverage.
- Maintain operational documentation including runbooks and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve monitoring coverage and reduce alert noise.
Audit & Reporting
- Support internal and external audit requirements using monitoring data.
- Extract, analyze, and present monitoring data for compliance reporting.
- Maintain documentation and evidence required for operational audits.
Infrastructure Support
- Basic understanding of Windows servers, networking devices, and cloud resources.
- Perform troubleshooting related to system performance and connectivity.
- Assist with monitoring alerts and infrastructure performance issues.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of Windows systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts.
- Basic navigation and understanding of Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience in T-SQL.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, LogicMonitor, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
