Role Overview

The Accounting & Reporting Analyst role focuses on supporting ABB’s Finance Business Function through general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities. You will work with finance teams to ensure accurate financial records, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to efficient business operations.

This position offers valuable exposure to SAP, General Ledger, month-end closing, financial analysis, reconciliations, and shared services operations. Fresh graduates will gain practical experience in corporate finance while developing strong analytical, accounting, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting activities and record financial transactions.
  • Conduct investigations and reconciliations of accounts for discrepancies.
  • Execute accounting analyses and prepare reports supporting finance and business leaders.
  • Produce reports, statements of accounts, reconciliations, and sourcing statements.
  • Perform month-end book closing activities.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Support account receivables and credit activities in accordance with company policies.

Required Skills & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 0–1 year of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Accounting, SAP, or General Ledger.
  • Basic knowledge of R2R, General Accounting, General Ledger, SAP, and shared services.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible to work in shifts.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced finance environment.
