Role Overview
The Tax Consultant I role focuses on supporting client acceptance, engagement setup, compliance reviews, documentation management, and risk-related activities. Professionals in this position work closely with engagement teams and internal stakeholders to ensure business processes align with firm policies and compliance requirements.
As part of the USI UK IM&R Tax team, candidates will gain practical exposure to engagement onboarding, workflow management, risk assessment, compliance operations, and documentation review processes. Key Responsibilities
- Support client acceptance and engagement setup activities in line with firm policies and risk management requirements.
- Assist with background reviews and compliance checks for new and existing engagements.
- Gather, review, and organize required documentation for engagement onboarding and approval processes.
- Coordinate with engagement teams to obtain missing information, clarify requests, and resolve incomplete submissions.
- Track workflow status and support timely completion of required reviews.
- Escalate potential risks, inconsistencies, or policy-related concerns to senior team members when required.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance quality and efficiency.
- Support additional risk, compliance, and operational activities as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
Required Skills & Eligibility
- Bachelor of Commerce, Business, or related field.
- 0β1 years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, audit, or professional services operations.
